North Mark
Seasons

One Direction. One Objective. One Voice.

North Mark does not attempt to optimize everything simultaneously. We evaluate what the business needs most, deliberately choose an operating season, and align every person behind that objective.

The Operating Premise

One connected system, not disconnected departments.

North Mark is not built around disconnected departments. It operates as one connected system.

Every person serves a different function, but every function supports the same objective. Success does not come from everyone performing the same work. It comes from each person fully owning their role while remaining connected to the larger mission.

As the business grows, the greatest challenge is not effort. It is alignment.

There will always be more ideas, opportunities, improvements, and demands than the team can pursue at one time. Because of that, North Mark does not try to optimize everything simultaneously. The team deliberately chooses what the business needs most, aligns behind that objective, and moves together.

At the beginning of each operating season, the leadership team meets at a round table to evaluate the current state of the business, identify the greatest constraint, and determine which season North Mark needs to enter.

Once that decision is made, every role, project, and priority should align behind the chosen objective.

When everyone understands the season, everyone knows how to win.

One direction. One objective. One voice.

Operating Seasons

Two seasons. One intentional cycle.

North Mark moves deliberately between two operating seasons based on what the business needs most right now.

Currently Active
Growth Season

Expand the business by deliberately creating more qualified opportunities.

Growth Season is an intentional period in which North Mark places a concentrated focus on expanding opportunity.

Relationships are built. Partnerships are developed. New conversations are initiated. Visibility increases. The pipeline expands. Momentum is created.

Growth Season does not mean every person becomes a traditional salesperson. It means every person evaluates how their individual role can make qualified revenue more likely.

Shared Question
"How can my role create more opportunity?"

Alternate Season
Strength Season

Strengthen what North Mark has built and increase the company's capacity.

Strength Season is an intentional period in which North Mark reinforces the products, systems, processes, relationships, and client experiences created during growth.

Growth exposes weaknesses. Strength Season addresses them.

This is where North Mark improves delivery, documents processes, removes bottlenecks, strengthens onboarding, improves communication, increases quality, and prepares the business for its next stage of growth.

Growth without strength creates chaos.

Strength without growth creates stagnation.

Sustainable businesses intentionally move between both.

Growth Season Guiding Principles

Seven ideas that shape how the team operates right now.

01One Direction

Once the operating season and primary objective are selected, the team aligns behind them.

Personal preferences, disconnected ideas, and lower-priority projects cannot compete with the shared objective. The team should move together rather than applying effort in unrelated directions.

Decision Question
"Does this support the objective we agreed upon?"
02Every Role Contributes to Revenue

Not everyone is responsible for cold calling, presenting proposals, or closing deals. Everyone is responsible for making future revenue more likely through their individual function.

Revenue may be created through opportunity, trust, relationships, momentum, infrastructure, follow-up, delivery, or retention.

Decision Question
"How does this work make qualified revenue more likely?"
03Qualified Growth Over Random Activity

The objective is not activity for the appearance of momentum. The team should pursue the right relationships, clients, creators, and opportunities.

A full calendar does not necessarily mean the business is growing.

Decision Question
"Is this a meaningful opportunity or merely more activity?"
04Create Momentum Every Day

Growth is built through consistent movement, not occasional bursts of effort.

Every team member should use the time they can realistically give to produce a tangible contribution to the current objective.

Decision Question
"What can I move forward today?"
05Use Your Function

Each person has a specific role in the system.

The team does not create alignment by having everyone perform the same tasks. It creates alignment by having everyone use their strongest function in service of the same objective.

Decision Question
"What does Growth Season require from my specific role?"
06Share What You Learn

Objections, patterns, client feedback, creator feedback, process friction, and market insight belong to the entire team.

Information should not remain isolated inside one person's conversations or responsibilities.

Decision Question
"What did I learn that the rest of the team needs to know?"
07Do Not Break the Product to Feed the Pipeline

Growth should never create promises the team cannot fulfill or work the product cannot support.

When the team identifies meaningful strain, it should surface it openly so leadership can determine whether to adjust the pace or transition into Strength Season.

Decision Question
"Can our current product and capacity support what we are creating?"
The North Mark System

Five functions. One organism.

North Mark is not built around isolated job descriptions. It is built around connected functions. Each person has a different role, but no role operates alone. Direction, opportunity, relationships, momentum, and infrastructure must continuously support one another.

System Role — The Brain
Andrew
Pathfinder and Architect

The Brain determines where the organism goes.

Andrew's responsibility is to provide vision, create opportunity, and make the highest-leverage decisions inside North Mark. While others execute through their individual functions, Andrew determines direction and ensures the team remains aligned around the right destination.

His greatest contribution is not completing the most work. It is creating clarity, identifying opportunity, and making decisions that allow everyone else to operate effectively.

Primary Mission
Create opportunity, provide direction, and protect the long-term health of North Mark.
Growth Season Mission
Lead North Mark toward the right opportunities, convert qualified opportunities into business, and give the team clear direction regarding which relationships, markets, products, and priorities deserve attention.

Did I create opportunity?
Did I provide clarity?
Did I make a decision that strengthened the future?
Did I spend my time where it created the greatest leverage?
System Role — The Heart
Miriam
Guardian of Momentum

The Heart keeps the organism alive and moving.

Miriam's responsibility is to protect momentum throughout North Mark. Clients, creators, prospects, projects, onboarding, communication, billing, and internal processes should not lose movement because the next step was unclear or overlooked.

Her role is not simply administration. Her role is ensuring that valuable opportunities and relationships continue progressing.

Her success is not measured by how busy she appears. It is measured by how little friction others experience because of her work.

Primary Mission
Protect momentum by ensuring every client, creator, prospect, and internal process continues moving forward.
Growth Season Mission
Ensure that the opportunities created during Growth Season receive consistent communication, clear next steps, strong follow-up, and a professional experience.

Did I make someone's next step clearer?
Did I move an opportunity forward?
Did I strengthen the client or creator experience?
System Role — The Nervous System
Austin
Architect of Infrastructure

The Nervous System allows every part of the organism to communicate, respond, and move without delay.

Austin's responsibility is to build the invisible infrastructure connecting North Mark's people, information, platforms, and processes.

He is not simply the person who fixes technical problems. He creates leverage by ensuring information reaches the correct person, follow-up happens when needed, repetitive work becomes automated, and the business can grow without unnecessary complexity.

His success is not measured by the number of automations built. It is measured by how much more effectively the entire team can operate because of the systems he creates.

Primary Mission
Build infrastructure that allows North Mark to scale without unnecessary complexity or friction.
Growth Season Mission
Create the systems that help North Mark respond faster, follow up consistently, track opportunities clearly, and convert more qualified interest into forward movement.
Core Focus

One-Hour Contribution
Spend the hour building or improving one system that increases the effectiveness of multiple people or eliminates repeated work.
Instinctive Question
"How can I eliminate this permanently so no one has to think about it again?"
Daily Compass
Did I remove friction?
Did I create leverage?
Did I improve the flow of information?
Did I build something that creates value beyond today?
System Role — The Ecosystem
Joel
Cultivator of Relationships

The Ecosystem allows North Mark to grow beyond its immediate reach.

Joel's responsibility is to build and strengthen the creator network that becomes North Mark's most trusted source of partnerships, referrals, and qualified opportunities.

Creators are not simply customers purchasing a discounted system. They are long-term ecosystem partners. North Mark helps them improve their businesses, strengthens the systems behind their work, and demonstrates its value through execution.

As creators grow in trust and capability, they introduce North Mark to clients who need deeper strategy, systems, marketing, and growth support.

Joel's success is not measured primarily by content output. It is measured by the strength, trust, and productivity of the creator ecosystem.

Primary Mission
Build a thriving creator ecosystem that consistently produces trust, partnerships, and qualified opportunities.
Growth Season Mission
Develop creator relationships, bring aligned creators into the North Mark ecosystem, help them experience the value of the system, and cultivate natural pathways into their client relationships.
Core Focus

What to Avoid
Measuring success through content output alone
Treating creators as transactions
Prioritizing editing over high-value relationship work
Waiting passively for referrals
Working in isolation from the creator community
Pushing creators for introductions before trust has been earned
Allowing promising creator relationships to become inactive
One-Hour Contribution
Spend the hour initiating, strengthening, or advancing one creator relationship that could create value for years.
Instinctive Question
"How can I leave this relationship stronger than I found it?"
Daily Compass
Did I strengthen a creator relationship?
Did I create trust?
Did I help a creator experience tangible value?
Did I create a natural path toward future opportunity?
System Role — The Lungs
Li
Generator of Opportunity

The Lungs bring fresh oxygen into the organism.

Li's responsibility is to help ensure North Mark consistently receives new conversations, relationships, and opportunities.

Her role begins through learning, research, outreach, observation, and consistent pipeline support. As her experience grows, she will move closer toward Andrew's function by developing the ability to lead conversations, diagnose client needs, make recommendations, and eventually close business.

Her success is not measured only by immediate sales. It is measured by the quality and consistency of the opportunities she creates and by the development of her ability to convert conversations into meaningful next steps.

Primary Mission
Create and develop opportunities that can become long-term client relationships.
Growth Season Mission
Build the top of North Mark's pipeline through thoughtful research, personalized outreach, relationship development, follow-up, and the continuous improvement of her sales ability.
Core Focus
Prospect researchQualified lead development Personalized outreachRelationship-building Follow-upLearning the North Mark product Observing sales callsPracticing discovery Documenting objectionsIdentifying patterns Moving prospects toward the next step Developing confidence and judgment Learning how to qualify opportunities
What to Avoid
Chasing every available lead
Prioritizing volume over fit
Taking rejection personally
Waiting until she feels fully ready
Using generic outreach without research
Confusing activity with progress
Trying to close before understanding the prospect
Allowing a lack of immediate results to interrupt consistency
One-Hour Contribution
Spend the hour creating or advancing one meaningful conversation with a qualified potential client or partner.
Instinctive Question
"Where is the next meaningful conversation waiting to happen?"
Daily Compass
Did I create a new opportunity?
Did I move an existing conversation forward?
Did I improve my sales ability?
Did I learn something that will make tomorrow's conversations better?

Every person has a different function.

Every function serves the same objective.

During Growth Season, North Mark does not need everyone performing the same activity. It needs every person using their specific strengths to create opportunity, protect momentum, build trust, improve conversion, and move the organization forward.

One direction.

One objective.

One voice.
